Next-day is our standard service. Book a chilled or frozen collection before 15:00 and it can deliver tomorrow across the UK (northern Scotland sometimes takes an extra day) from whichever of our four depots sits closest to the work. Same-day is available on request, and it starts with a phone call.
How same-day actually works
A same-day job is a planning question, and we have a team whose job is answering it fast. When you call, they look at where our vehicles are, what temperature they’re already running at, and whether your load can join an existing round or needs its own vehicle. Because the network is large, there’s usually a driver near enough to fit the job in. You get a straight answer: yes with a collection time, or the earliest we can genuinely do.
What stays the same at speed
The temperature discipline doesn’t relax because a job is urgent. A same-day consignment gets the same continuous temperature record and the same electronic proof of delivery as a planned weekly round, and that record is what settles any query at the door. Frozen runs at −15°C, chilled at 0°C to +5°C, whatever the deadline.
Who uses it
Manufacturers covering a production overrun. Wholesalers with a gap on tomorrow’s shelf. Anyone whose usual transport has let them down that morning. A fair amount of our long-term work started as one urgent job done properly. If the load is a single pallet it may go on a van; if it’s 26 pallets it goes on an artic. We run six vehicle sizes, so the vehicle matches the load rather than the other way round. See full-load trunking for the top end of the range.
